Looking for an Eczema treatment that is natural, safe, and really works?
Quality therapeutic-grade essential oils are a safe and gentle eczema treatment that can remedy even the worst cases of this irritating skin disorder.

What is Eczema?
Eczema is a recurring or chronic skin condition, also known as atopic eczema, or by its medical name, atopic dermatitis. It most often occurs in babies and children, but can also affect adults. Eczema is itchy, often unattractive, and irritating but not contagious.
It may be linked to dry skin, allergies, or immune system dysfunction, although stress can also worsen this skin disorder. Eczema rashes can occur almost anywhere on the body. Common eczema symptoms include:
- red and brown roughened areas on the skin
- raised bumps which may weep and crust over
- itchiness, especially at night
- thick, scaly skin that may crack in cold weather, or under other conditions that are drying
- sensitivity and pain
Childhood Eczema often occurs on the face, neck, and limbs, and may be worsened by exposure to chemicals in detergents, soaps, shampoo and other personal care products.
Choosing the Essential Oils for Eczema Natural Treatment
There are many oils that can be helpful as an eczema treatment, either “neat” (without dilution) or mixed into a base of extra virgin olive oil or another pure, organic oil.
For safety reasons, only therapeutic-grade oils, such as Young Living Essential Oils, whose source is known and trusted should be applied to the skin – inferior quality oils contain chemicals and may worsen eczema symptoms.
The best oils to use as eczema treatment include:
- lavender
- helichrysum
- rose
- Melaleuca alternifolia (commonly called “tea tree”)
- rosemary
- patchouli
- chamomile

I am a true believer of essential oils thanks to a co-worker of mine that introduced me to them for my Eczema.
I’ve been suffering with it for about 2 years now which prompted me within the last year to see an allergist. He started me on allergy shots that were not helping so I opted to not go get them any more.
After talking with my co-worker about this, she told me about essential oils and gave me samples of lavender & rose ointment. After one application of these, (the lavender for the itching & the rose ointment for moisture) it was nearly gone. I can honestly say that I have not had any flair ups since using it. I do suffer from severely dry feet and do have to soak them but my Eczema is now completely under control.
I have urged my family and friends to look into these for any conditions they might have and to at least try it. I really didn’t think it would work, but it did.

Every winter I get dry, itchy, cracking and scaly skin on my one hand. I have lived with psoriasis my entire life and now have a form of dermatitis or eczema that was constantly cracked and bleeding. I tried all of my ointments and creams and talked to the doctor about it and received more steroid creams to help it. However, it never stopped cracking and peeling. I had read up on testimonials and also the reference books and tried the rose ointment. Immediately the cracks healed and the scaling peeled away to reveal ‘normal’ skin.
I still have flare ups and continually use the rose ointment, but I no longer have to wear band aids to cover up my bleeding peeling fingers. I no longer have to be embarrassed for people to see my hands. YEAH! I know that somethings work better than others for different people but I found that this works the best for me.
